Nokia mobile phone comes with number of codes by which you can perform various basic to high level operations. Some of the codes along with their functions are mentioned in this article. You need to go on the main display screen (i.e the home screen) of the phone and enter the codes mentioned below:

*#06# is the code used for checking the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity)

*#7780# is the code used to reset to factory settings (default settings)  of the Phone

*#0000# is used to view the Nokia model number Version of the software update and phone and other variant details

*#67705646# it clears the LCD display (operator logo)

*#2820# is the Bluetooth device address

*#746025625# Sim clock allowed status

*#62209526# is used to display the MAC address of the Wireless LAN adapter. This is available only with devices that support WLAN feature.

#pw+1234567890+1# Shows if sim has any restrictions

*#92702689# -takes you to a secret menu where you may find vital information like

• Serial Number
• Month and Year of Manufacture
• Date where the phone was purchased (MMYY)
• Date of the last repair – if found (0000)
• Shows life timer of phone (time passes since last start)

*#3370#  Enhanced Full Rate Codec (EFR) activation. Increase signal strength, better signal reception. It also helps if you want to use GPRS and if the service is not responding or is too slow in operation. The Phone battery will drain faster with implementation of this ode.

*#3370*  (EFR) deactivation. Phone will automatically restart by this code. This helps to Increase battery life by 30% because phone receives less signal from network

*#4720# Used for the Half Rate Codec activation

*#4720* Used to deactivate the Half Rate Codec. The phone will restart automatically after entering this code.

If you forgot wallet code for Nokia S60 phone, you can reset with  *#7370925538#
All the data in the wallet will be rubbed off and the phone will ask you the lock code. Default lock code is: 12345
Press *#3925538# to delete the contents and code of wallet.

To Unlock service provider

• Insert sim, turn phone on and press vol up(arrow keys) for 3 seconds, should say pin code
• Press C and then press * a message will flash, press * again and 04*pin*pin*pin#*#7328748263373738# this resets security code.
• Default security code is 12345
